So I had my drivers side HID headlamp go out last week and wanted to through some pictures on here as I know quite a few people have issues are are not sure if the issue is bulb or ballast. Mine was a pretty easy diagnosis by simply pulling the bulb.

Left bulb was blown, either oxygen or something else happened within the gas chamber of the bulb and you can see that it turned an almost metallic grey. One on the right was the good passengers side bulb.
Ended up replacing the existing pair of 3Fives with the Morimoto XB35 from TRS because of the higher quality materials and this line in the description.
Note that I never had issues with the 3Fives, but I know other people had random issues with the ballasts so I figured I'd give them a try.
So far, so good. Love the color output and while it could be the fact that I was down a bulb, the light output seems brighter to me.
Cheers!

These bulbs will even work with OEM Nissan/Infiniti (Matsushita) ballasts, which are notorious for discriminating against anything aftermarket.
