What did you trade in to get your FX?

Sold outright B7 2006 S4. Loved the car, although just not practical and wow the FX, just rides great!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a trade. Instead, my previous car, an '06 IS350 was totalled and we replaced it with '07 FX35 AWD. This was about a week ago, so I'm still getting used to the FX.

Have watched this thread age like stinky cheese, I had to break down jump in. Sold my 1993 Toyota Landcruiser (last year with true 4 wheel capabilities iMO) 4" Lift,Old man Emu shocks, ARB front bumper, 2nd and only set of operatioanal headers in north america....blah, blah, blah, tons of mods (GREAT off road machine loved the rig). Also Sold my 1998 Lexus GS400, Headers, euro grill, Antera wheels, CAI, HIDS, TC, dropped from 5.9 seconds to 5.2 0-60 but needed LOTS of suspension mods to reach the true driver stage. SO Bought an 08 MDX family car and an 06 FX45 for myself. For me the FX has fit the best of both worlds and I've never looked back. If I were to do it again I would consider purchasing a 35 and TT'ing it, performance mods for the 45 are slim......probably will buy a dedicated track car to fill the straight up need for speed but the FX seems to be the perfect best of both worlds car.

My previous car was a 2000 RX 300 it was totaled when a kid ran a red light, with the insurance check and the money I got from selling a 2008 Can Am Renegade 800, I bought a 05 FX35 AWD sport with all the options besides rear ent. pack

traded in my 06 Volvo S60 "R" AWD, 300 HP... sweet ride, just needed more room for our 4 month old son. NOOOOO way was I getting a mini-van... the FX has worked out well thus far!! I don't have to shoe horn the stroller in the trunk anymore...
:ever:

Last year of the great Q's. 96 was purty, but detuned a bit 94-96. I was rolling a '91 with the revised chain guides. What a blast that thing was getting up to speed.

06 Avalon Limited. It was either that or my wife's 04 Lx470. She didn't want to take over the Avalon so away it went. I'm pretty sure I was raped pretty bad at time of trade in but it was worth it to get back to rear wheel drive.

My first vehiclee was a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder XE. I ended up doing a lot of mods to it, including Stillen CAI, headers and exhaust, Katzkin 2 tone leather seats, brush aluminum dash kit, Hollandia sunroof, WAAG brush guard, Piaa fog lights, painted calipers, custom stereo, Koni shocks and 17" Niche wheels. It was underpowered and had a soft rear suspension, but it handled well. Sold it shortly after I bought my FX in Dec 2004. Fell in love with the FX when it first came out in 2003 and had taken 3 test drives in a period of 15 months before we made the jump. If I could have squeezed 300 HP out of the Pathfinder, I would probably still have it. Can't believe the FX has nearly twice the HP as the Pathfinder and the fuel economy is not significantly worse. :-)

Here's the last picture I took of my old Pathy.

Oh, and here I thought I got the mod bug out of me with that vehicle, until this summer it infected me again and I ended up modding my FX. :-)

First car was a brand new 2002 WRX. Drove 80 miles per day going to college in it. Spent too much money on it!! My brother's car now.

I traded a 2006 Nissan Sentra 2.0S...super reliable, great gas mileage but boring car. The FX is perfect has AWD (Northern Va has bad winters) & has the room needed. I love it

I was gonna trade my BMW 3 series, but put too much work with all the mods into it, and hated the idea that some kid would just get it and probably take all the credit for it. So gave it to my mom and sold her Mercedes! She wasn't happy at first, but now loves the ride and it's still with the family:) Now it's time to play with the FX and see what I can do to it. Loving it all the way.

I traded my 2001 Nissan Maxima in 2008 for a 2008 FX35. The dealer paid me $4000 more then what my Maxima was worth and they also gave me 0% finance.

DAMN half the people here had maximas as their previous rides...
I sold my first car and then went and bought the FX
2006 Mazda 3...just threw some tints on it and that was it
