What did you trade in to get your FX?

Why even bother selling it? I would just keep it as a back up car. Insurance can't be that high... unless it had a blown motor or something major like that
I drove my 1999 acura Tl with 317k miles to the junk yard and got $400 for it .

Traded my 2011 Chevy Traverse for the FX. One week later, all the nasty GM recalls hit the news and the Traverse was one of them. Faulty airbags!

I traded in my 2004 Ford F150 FX4 Supercrew. I knew it was time when the rust started along the rockers. I stuck with the cash route. 05 FX35 with 113K miles.

I sold my '96 Grand Prix GTP Supercharged...put about $5K worth of mods into it...I miss that car but I got $4500 for it :)

Traded a '04 WRX wagon for mine. That thing was a tank and never broke down on me once even with all the makeshift auto cross and snow cross I did in it.

Was going to trade my 99 maxima but decided to sell out off using the cash to buy my fx.. I have a lot of LEDs to move from it and The 08 Maxima rims are worth selling separately. Still a new member so I cant show how it looks just yet.

I did not trade it in because it was not worth anything, but after 30 years of driving Ford Explorers I am done with them. Why did I wait so long UGH! Love my '11 FX35

Not to be a jerk but wasn't the first explorer released in 1991?

The Ford Explorer is a sport utility vehicle produced by the American manufacturer Ford since 1990. It is manufactured in Chicago, Illinois. It was also assembled in Hazelwood, Missouri until the plant closed on March 10, 2006. The Ford Explorer went on to become one of the most popular sport utility vehicles on the road. The model years through 2010 were traditional body-on-frame, mid-size SUVs. For the 2011 model year, Ford moved the Explorer to a more modern unibody, full-size crossover SUV/crossover utility vehicle platform, the same Volvo-derived platform the Ford Flex and Ford Taurus use. It is slotted between the traditional body-on-frame, full-size Ford Expedition and the mid-size CUV Ford Edge. Although outwardly similar, the fifth generation Explorer, Ford Edge and Ford Escape do not share platforms. The fifth generation Explorer does, however, share platforms with the Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT.
The Explorer has also been involved in controversy, after a spate of fatal rollover accidents in the 1990s involving Explorers fitted with Firestone tires. Both two-door Explorer Sport and four-door models of Explorer have been sold. Part-time four-wheel drive is an available option, and since 1995 this has been a 'shift on the fly' system with full protection against being engaged at high speed. A specially modified Special Service Vehicle version is also available from Ford Fleet for law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and EMS agencies. Explorer was also the name of a trim package offered on the Ford F-Series trucks from 1968 to 1986. The 2011 Ford Explorer was named North American Truck of the Year.[SUP][1][/SUP]

So i am assuming 1989 was the first year you could purchase a 1990? So 25 years.... Although he could be referring to a bronco II as an Exploder

New guy here. Always wanted an FX35 but never had a chance to own one. So I convinced my fiance to trader her 07 CRV for an 07 FX35. Been loving it since!
