Worked on changing out struts/shocks on moms sienna minivan. Rusted bolts are going to be the death of me. Got 3 of 4 done. Can't break top strut bolt loose on rear shock. Its one of those with a locking nut and needs an Allen key to hold the threads simultaneously. Anyone have advice on how to break this off? Misc pictures from today below.
:good: Saved mom a bunch by doing it yourself.
The high torque of the impact gun will help. Many many times, I just use an impact gun on it without an allen wrench holding the center rod. Be sure to use the correct socket size on the it though. Once the nut got rounded, it will be more painful!

For those with a similar vehicle (2004 Sienna), there is a sick deal on amazon for 4 KYB shocks/struts shipped. About a $50 savings from the next lowest price (rockauto). Description says FWD, but these parts #"s are for AWD

Finally replaced the foglights on the 335 w/ M3 brake ducts. I never liked the look of the fogs, and had bought a set of ducts a while back but was too lazy to install. Last week one of the fog surrounds fell off somewhere so that gave me some motivation. Much cleaner and more aggressive look and the fogs were useless from a lighting standpoint.
Looks much better and functional.
