What did you buy for your FX / QX70 today?

Bought iPod cable to install in my 2008 FX45... Im ashamed to say that I was not able to find where it should connect.
I tried behind the radio - nope
I tried behind the glove box - nope

Isn't this vehicle supposed to be pre-wired? I did not find where to connect this cable

@ocal21 You dont need to replace the seat filters. They're damn expensive. Vacuum them first, then wash them with soft soap and warm water. let it sit at room temperature for a day or so to dry and reinstall. That should save you a couple hundred bucks.

Chris and I just bought replacement rear struts for our Kido Coilovers. We both had one die within about a week of each other. Good times...

I don't think FX is prewired for that. I know mine wasn't

Is there a warranty, & what is rebuild charge on Kidos?

I think BC's are rebuild cost. 100 a pop or something. cant recall $ nor duration, but they may be lifetime

If I have to have my Kido coilovers serviced, to where should I send them to?

Something is wrong with the front coil overs I just bought there is a clunk every time I go over road imperfections

Is the spring snug under compression between the bottom ring and the top plate of the struts? The spring should not be easily turn with bare hand.

I think even uncompressed it shouldnt be moving around. sloppy fit cause some clunking too.
But that would be rear problem if theyre moving in the buckets. Front like andy's talking

So I had a similar issues with my front coilover, ended up it was the valve inside the strut was clunking every time I went over a bump. Sounded like hell inside the car, but the strut was still working. Had the replace the strut at that time.

Kido comes with 1 year warranty. After that you buy what you need.

I just learned that the front coilovers tube is slightly larger than the shock and there is some wiggle. I just cannot comprehend how this can happen that the tube/sleeve where the coilover is slightly wider than the shock itself.

Damn it

The lower part of the front coil-over where the KiDO sticker is - the sleeve with threads were you can adjust the height, the part of the coilover that you use two bolts to secure to the vehicle, it seems to be a bit wider, and the shock part of the coilover wiggles a little, meaning the threaded sleeve is about <1mm wider. When the vehicle is lifted, and you try to move the tire at the 12 and 6 position, the lower part of the shock moves, but the coilover sleeve doesnt move... did I explain myself?

You're missing the bottom ring. Once the ring is on to exert pressure on the top of the bracket, it should not be any movement.
