What brand of air filters are good? looking for a stock filter replacement thats throw away. and how often should it be changed?

I prefer the OEM filter and I changed mine at 30,000 kms. I've read Amsoil makes a great filter.

Non oiled - Amsoil
Check every 5K miles and clean/replace as needed (when its dirty).

K&N Cone Filter. I've noticed many people having issues with oil on K&N messing up MAF sensors. These people are probably drenching the filter with the oil. I've been using K&N filters for 10 years on my accord, 5 years on my FX35, and 4 on my Mazda. I've yet to have any problems with the filter. I spray my filter from about 2ft away so that it is lightly, but sufficiently oiled.
