Greetings and salutations!

I am a new member to the infinitiscene forum. I never knew that there was a forum for infiniti fx and ex owners until I read about it in an automobile magazine. It's quite pleasing to know that there is a particular forum for us owners, who love their infinitis, and that a plethora of knowledge can be shared by the membership.

My first question has to do with the following: When I first start my vehicle and proceed to drive away at a slow to moderate speed, once my speedometer hits 20-25 kmh (10-15 mph), I hear a ping or spring noise coming from the transmission or axle. What is that noise and what's its significance?

According to a friend, who drives a fx35, he stated that this particular noise is normal, and it has to do with the AWD disengaging. Is this really true?

Hello - I'm new to the forum as I recently bought my first Infiniti, a 2005 FX35 AWD. So far I love it. It's not my first Nissan product and hopefully not my last. A big thank you to the site members as I have been lurking here for a bit trying to learn what I can.

Welcome to all of you here. enjoy the site. as for pinging noise, it's the ABS system at work, completely normal. not to worry. :tup:
 
what's up folks. first day on. recently got a black '05 fx35. had lots of questions for mods. got a lot of answers here. decided to stick & stay. trying to decide best way to do headlights and oem screen. wondered in i could put a oem nav console in, if i could find one. would appreciate any advice.
 
what's up folks. i'm a newbie. glad to join the ranks of fx owners. i got a '05 black fx35 2 weeks ago. stumbled across this sight looking to make mods and had to join. i started with easy interior lights and i'm now looking for headlights. i saw a couple old threads and just wanted to know where would you guys suggest getting headlight kits from. i also want to get rid of my orange screen and wondered if i could find an entire console w/ the nav. system, would it just plug and play?

Newbie (sort of) saying hi! I just bought a used 08 FX35, which is actually my second - I had an 04 FX45 previously, and I was a member of this board until about 3 years ago. Looks like you guys have been busy, along with some vendors out there making better parts for our cars - so, I'm really excited to be back on board!!!

Awesome website. I Just ended up purchasing a used 2008 fx35. I am looking at making some modifications and I was wondering if someone could give me some input as to where I can purchase some of them?

- Clear Tail lights
- Sport Pedals
- 20 inch oem rims
- Chrome Roof Rails

Just picked up a 07 FX35, silver with every option but 20" wheels which I'm hoping to shortly correct. I'm looking forward to browsing and checking out what some of the other members have done to to customize their FX's. I'm new to the infiniti world so I apologize in advance if I ask some stupid questions.

Doesn't every option include the 20" wheels? Goodluck with the new ride and welcome.
