I went on one of my monthly trips to Mohegan Sun over this past weekend. On the way there the roads were horrible because of a snow storm and visibility was poor as can be because of no highway lights on parts of I-95. The snow was coming down hard! Let me start off buying saying the FX was a tank in the snow!! No slipping or getting stuck or wheels spinning out. Everyone else was having problems and driving like grandma's, while I was going through it like a tank.
Anyways on to the problem. When I went to park in the parking deck when I got there my alarm wasn't working. I mean the doors were locking and unlocking properly, but the car wouldn't make the beep/chirp noise that it makes when you lock and unlock the doors by pushing the button on the door handles. And you know how when you get out of the car with the intelligent key in your pocket it chirps 3 times to let you know the intelligent key is outside of the vehicle? Well my wouldn't make that noise either. It also wouldn't make the chirping noise to let you know that you left the intelligent key in the car and your trying to lock it. I thought that maybe the speaker on the outside that chirps and beeps was broken or either frozen since I drove through that storm.
So the next morning I go out to the parking deck to leave and to see if it was working and it still wasn't working. Anyways I make the drive back home and park my car back in the driveway and it WORKS! I guess maybe something was frozen of whatever? All I know is that after driving it back home it worked. Kind of weird though and thought I'd let you guys know.
