Weird HID problem

Guy one of my HID has been very temperamental since I installed it. HID works very consistantly with the OEM set. I put in a 6000K pair. the left is perfect, comes on 100% of the time. the right one however has a mind of its own. I have try unplugging it and repluging it. make sure its on tight and It would work after the whole procedure. After a night of driving it would randomly stop working. It seems to be more reliable in the summer and once the weather turns cold it gets temperamental.

Quality issue? Wiring? it is coming loose constantly?

its is a 09 fx so I don't want to believe the wiring is bad already.
 
switch the bulbs left to right & see if the problem switches sides, then you can be sure it's the bulb if the problem does switch. if it don't then you can be sure it's not the bulb as your problem, but my guess it's the bulb...
 
I would guess the bulb also. But to be sure try what turbo said about switching the bulbs around.
 
its the BALLAST. i had the same problem, get the ballast replaced.

edit: my problem was with the foglights, but it can be the same issue.
try the bulb thing and if none work then its the ballast

Happened to me too. I sent one bulb in and got it replaced under the 1 year warranty. Just showed me how good the OEM bulbs are. Whenever a bulb goes out and I'm waiting for the replacement, the OEM's go in and they fire up no problem. Too bad I'm a sucker for the 6000K color.
