Weird failure

Hello, IS

So I live in this gated community, and today while I was leaving my community to go to work. There was like this mini slope before exiting the complex to go to the road, and usually you stop to check cars of course (some don't). While I was braking to check if any cars were passing, my car just starts moving while my foot is pressed on the brake hard and it felt like I got rear ended and someone was like using there car to push mines out. So I put the car in park and put the E-Brake on and turned off the car and turned it back on and It started acting normal again. I just wanted your opinions about what may have caused this or If anyone has experienced this.

Thanks,

-Erik

Btw my car is 6 months old and it only has 3500 miles on it so I'm not sure whats going on

^ wow, that's scary. I never had any issues with mine though it's a first gen '07. Can you duplicate it in a safe environment? I'm sure others with the 2nd gen can chime in.

thats scary i wudve gone nuts and start pumping the brake pedal. but yeah never heard of that happening to anyone

I would go back to the dealer before it happens while your out driving and normal speeds and cant just throw it into park. :eek.:

can this be computer related? or just plain and simple master cylinder failing

Pumping the brake pedal would just make it worse..
if you keep pumping the pedal it'll become stiff and you'll be left with no braking power.

Hmmm. It's possible there is air in your brake lines.

When your car is on and in park how far down does the brake pedal go?

Never heard of that happening,Don't mess around with this take it in to the dealer and get it checked out asap

I wonder if the recent posts of FX issue threads are related to the Sandy, FL huricane, or Japan events....thinking they resolved issues, but lemons being fixed up.
