Weird Bluetooth issue (not pairing)

I've been using my Blackberry Bold with bluetooth in the FX (08) for a few months, and it's been working great. A week or so ago, something changed which has me scratching my head.

When I start the car the phone pairs with the car normally, but as soon as it does the FX switches into PHONE mode even though I'm not on the phone. The only fix I've found is to make a call from my bberry, usually to my voicemail, and then hang up which seems to release the connection and the FX goes back to radio.

Also, I'm noticing that incoming calls aren't ringing through the FX as quickly as they did before. Now my phone rings a couple times before the FX picks it up and by the time it finally picks it up I may have missed the call.

This is pretty annoying as you might guess. I've rebooted my phone but am still having the same issue. Should I delete it from the FX and re-pair? Anyone seen this kind of issue before?

Thanks!

Not sure about the BB, but i was recently having similar issues with my iPhone 4S and posted about it here. The only fix that worked was basically resetting the phone settings to default. Maybe there is a similar setting on the BB?

Good Luck

Try deleting the phone from the car and re-pairing. If that doesn't work. May be an issue with the phone's firmware or the car's bluetooth module.

My Bold 9900 has been working fine in my 08 without issue. I have also updated my firmware a few times and am now on 7.1.0.205
