So i know the ex35's werent so popular....But there is little to almost nothing information wise about moding. I understand it has the same motor as the nismo Z's and stuff as well? So technically if i wanted to say buy a plenium spacer kit or some other performance mod it should bolt right up with no problem? Why is it that no one mods ex35's? I am suprised with how much pep the ex35 has, i would have never expected it. Surely not the fastest car i have owned/driven by far.....but i wanna make it more fun and enjoyable to drive. Any suggestions? Id love to do g37 exhaust (stock i love the deep tone compared to megan) and also the stillen v2-v3 intakes.
 
It wasnt that the EX did not sell well, I believe the EX to FX ratio was probably about even from my experience in the dealership I worked at.

The thing about the EX is that it sold more to people who werent as inclined to mod them, for the EX seems overwhelmingly more often purchased by women than the FX.

The other factor here is the fact that the FX is in its 2nd generation. The first generation FX has a lot more mods you can do than the second generation.
 
lmao everyone keeps saying that about the whole ex being purchased by women. BAHA. idk. i bought it cuz i got a really good deal on mine. (8k below blue book ;) ). So i cant complain.

G37 exhaust will bolt right up if that's what you are looking for, you will need the mid-pipe and muffler. The y-pipe is the same. my friend did this to his EX, its shocking how small the EX piping is

yeah i have seen this but i dont have $10,000 for the turbo kit nor the cash for the built motor lmao. Thanks though!

oh geez we need the mid pipe to? Maybe i will go price out a custom exhaust. From the cat all the way back. If the piping is that small. Im pretty sure i saw it and didnt even notice until you said that lol. The piping is EXTREMELY small. We could probably pick up some decent power from that alone....also the sedan and coupe exhaust the same?

Sure the turbo EX is a bit extreme for most, but just seeing exhaust, brakes, wheels, and whatnot, there are some mods you can do.
I think a member in FL did some stuff before he sold his EX. (Was it "ohthatguy"?)
 
Id love to supercharge my EX. Just run like 8psi or so tuned on UPREV. But i can still see that set up running an easy 10k

That would make for a fun little 400whp or so ex35 ;)

EX is a VQ35HR so no plenum spacer is needed. The aftermarket for the EX is smaller than the FX and the FX is already pretty bad. But it doesn't really matter because just about anything that works for the HR in Z's and G's works for the EX. Just like an FX, most of the G and Z stuff is transferrable. Intake, HFC's, exhaust can all be upgraded on the EX and of course FI is you want to go that far.
 
Im going to redo the entire exhaust. Probably do 2.5in piping all the way from HFC to CTB. Should free up a bit of power and sound good. just debatig what exhaust to get. I was looking at Aero Turbines but i know its going to be loud as shit. wake up all the neighbors when i leave at 430 in the morning lol.
