Lately I have been looking into changing exhaust on my wife's 2015 Nissan Murano but of course no one makes it at this point. After a lil research, I found the engine code is VQ35DE, which is the same as the 2003 ~ 2005 G35 Coupe/Sedan. So I am wondering if it's doable to get an aftermarket exhaust from say Invidia for G35 to fit on the Murano. (as opposed to put pieces together myself). What are your thoughts?

Your Murano is based on the Maxima platform, not the G platform, so look for performance exhausts for that instead... You'd also want to try to look for a version that would fit AWD (if the Maxima ever came out with an AWD version) to clear any extra differentials and whatnot... But you'd probably also need a specialist to install it for you as you might need minor changes and extensions to make it fit...

Ah, I see. So Maxima. I was wondering about that when I saw the performance Specs.
Thanks, man.

Same engine but it's transverse on the Maxima as it's a FWD platform. So no way the G/FX/Z exhaust would fit. Maybe the Maxima exhaust would fit the Murano but hard to say. Personally I think you're better off just having a custom exhaust made. By the time you modified a Maxima exhaust, you may be in the same cost range. Or if you just want the sound, they likely make axelback exhausts which are much easier to fit.

I don't think that part would even work. There's not any way to fit that were the OEM muffler is and actually run piping to it. You could run that as a resonator but a Murano/Maxima is not a true dual setup, there is an F/Y pipe at the front. It's much harder to run a true dual exhaust because there's not really enough room to replace the Y pipe. It's not the same as the G/Z.
