vortech installed

if im driving normally i shift around 45--6 but if im really getting on it ill shift at 75ish
it wont hurt the engine.. Tadashi at technosquare said a z they did a test on held up for 20 minutes at a continuous 8k+redline

Did they stop the test at 20min or did it blow up?

Also, whether or not it will "hurt" your engine depends on your definition of the word "hurt". It probably (obviously) wont blow your motor to shift at 7K RPM but it is absolutely reducing its longevity.

550+whp, gotta be a built motor?

"short block 2300
vortech tuner kit 3200 but add 2100 for ysi exchange
install of everything 3500
cams 900
return fuel sys 900
stereo 700
haltech 1700
guages around 1000 plus

If I was to compare and redue for ease i would definately go jwt tt. But like i said... I wanted to be different."

oh yeah, I forgot. 1,700 for the haltech, that's an awesome price

That price is pretty common if you deal with a shop that doesn't want to rape you ;) Yes built motor. To answer the other guys comment, when going WOT i try to shift at 6.5k so that it would shift before 7.5k. Going sideways is always fun lol.

lol yes its my wife's FX (She lets me mod whatever I want). Will post up pics tomorrow of new setup. Changed the air to air to a custom air to water inter cooler. Reduced the piping for charger setup. Removed the Crawford upper plenum and replaced it with the Cosworth manifold. Installed TurboCad's rear BBK mod along with rear 09+ Brembo BBK. Hid most of the engine wiring. Stay tuned. :)

wow cant wait for the pics! and agreed, a video would be awesome

so how does your wife like the mods? Thats pretty cool she lets you make her car into a beast

sorry for crappy cell phone pics

replaced my air to air intercooler with a Air to water intercooler. Air to Water intercoolers are much for efficient and more practical for everyday street driven vehicles. Resevoir tank is still being made along with coolant pump. Also everything is in aluminum to save weight :) Waiting on more braided lines to come in and then it will be finished.

I was going to ask, how did the rear Brembo Kit Turbocad retrofit work out for you? Hopefully installation was straight forward.

Car looks great.

the thing was super easy to do. We decided to just use the stock rear brake lines and drilled per instructions. Saved alot of weight too seeing that two of the new arms are the same as one old arm :)
