So I've been wanting, planning on an exhaust ever since I purchased Lola. I've seen some mount a 80 series in place of the resonator, then piping out and have been pleased with the results. I've also seen an 80 series in place of the OEM muffler, with or without the resonator.
I always am looking to do something a little different. A few months back I purchased a Borla Pro XS muffler with some Borla oval resonated tips. My thoughts were to put it in place of the resonator and run some stainless back to the new oval tips. Some say running a straight through setup can cause a loss of low end torque. I searched on FleaBay and found a small single chamber drag muffler that I could put in front of the Borla to add a small amount of resistance. This was the plan...
Now I have more options. A Billy Boat Racing 2011 catback for a Camaro SS is now in my hands. It's slightly damaged from a rear accident but only one tip was slightly tweeked out of place so not really worth much to sell. I was thinking of using the beautiful twin mufflers off of it. My question is should I put the Borla in place of the OEM Resonator and then run out the twin Billy Boat mufflers? Second option would be to use one of the Billy Boat mufflers in front of the Borla instead of the single chamber drag muffler. Third option is Sell the Borla, use the single chamber drag muffler in place of the resonator and run stainless to the twin Billy Boats? I want loud and aggressive with no loss of torque. I'm leaning twords option 3.
