Powdercoated my wheels on the 911 for $400 in Brooklyn, NY. Dealership wanted $1400. All others wanted $600-$800. Jumped on that cheap price. They actually came out really good too. There are pictures of the car in My Garage if you want to see.
I got my wheels powdercoated for $500. That included swapping out TPMS beforehand, as well as mounting and balancing the tires. This was a wheel repair place. You can get them pc'ed for cheaper, but then you have to deal with tire stuff somewhere else usually.
Wayne, PC does seems to chip easier. I got a dime size chipped of after one winter. PC or paint, just have to give it enough time to cure is the key on the user end. As for the quality and durability, I think it all on how thorough job the shop preps and finish it.
