Vdc off , Slip and Service Engine Soon Lights On!

Well yesterday, I was just trying to turn on the car , the engine took more time to turn on and made a weird sound , then it gave those 3 light warnings once the engine turned on :
1- Slip
2- Vdc Off
3- Service Engine Soon

Just to inform you guys, I didn't make any changes in my 2004 fx35, so what do you think is the solution ?

Take it to an auto parts place that has a code reader. Many places will plug in the reader and give you the codes that the ECU has stored. Once you have them post them up and some help is available. Also, are there any driveability issues?
 
The code is P0340 !
Just to let you know guys I did change the camshift sensor,everything worked fine for around 1 hour then it occured again ..
The lights and the engine starting taking longer !

Weird. My wife mentioned the VDC and Slip lit up two days ago. Starting the FX in the morning sounds and feels odd. It's going to the dealership on Monday.

I'm hoping it's just an issue with the battery or low brake fluid.

Just to update:

The dealership replaced the throttle body assembly and reset idle for the sluggish start up. They found the throttle plate stick/loose.

For the VDC and SLIP light, the steering angle sensor was replaced. They found the steering angle sensor shorted with internal failure.

Both were covered under warranty.
 
I've got the same problem only all I got is the VDC OFF, SLIP LIGHT on in the dash. Don't feel anything different. Replaced the tires, which was needed, and got the much needed alignment. The lights came on before i replaced the tires.

Car still runs the same. Trying to trouble shoot the problem, but can't seem to pinpoint the problem. I have a feeling that the only way to get an answer is to bring it to the dealer, but don't want to get raped and told i need to replace a bunch of parts, no more warranty.

Any help would be great, Need some advise.
 
your control unit is blown

i just had that annd went in and they will replace it under warranty

so yea get the control unit checked up and im almost 100% sure it is
casue cheryl from metro infiniti called me today and told me so yea
 
There was also another thread on this and an infiniti tech mentioned it can be your worn brakes too.

Mine went on once last week and went away fairly quickly. I know that my front pads are just about done so I will be changing them this weekend and see if I get some results... but then again, it hasn't come on since last weekend.
 
yea my came on and when i turned the car off then back on it went away...

whoever had these lights come on out of nowhere
i advise to get em checked up
control unit mailny controls your ABS and all that good stuff
 
If it comes back on I'll take you advice and bring it in. I'm going to be out of warranty in April 2010 or 10k more miles, whichever comes first =)
 
I had that happen to me a couple of months ago.... It stated the at the engine controller was bad and just reset the code. Nothing happened for about a month and then on my way up to PA, I was stuck on the 95 at the Maryland House. My catalytic converter was glowing red and lost 50% of my engine power.... Towed her to the dealer and found out it was one of the plugs and the ignition coil and about $500 dollars later.... She was back to normal....
 
Wife said VDC and slip light came on again. I called the dealer and they said to check the brake fluid. I haven't check the fluid in almost 4 years. I will check it as soon as I get back home. If all else fails I will go to the dealer and have them cover the repair under warranty
