2013 Infiniti FX50S
I currently drive a 2013 FX50S. It's in great shape and only has about 47K miles. But I have that itch to move into something new. I've been working with some dealers and I'm amazed at the offers I'm seeing out there for this car. I get it, no dealer wants to give me a premium price, but one dealer quoted me $24K even after he drove it and saw it. Others are only a few thousand above that.

For a car that was $70K MSRP, that's a pretty steep drop in value to me.

Anyhow, what prices are you seeing out there if any of you have seen one for sale or sold?

Market value should be over $30k at that mileage. V8s are getting harder to find. Keep in mind that a Dealer so will have to buy at low to mid $20k so they can profit when they sell it at ~$30k (marketing, detail, etc). List it on Autotrader, eBay, or Car.com and get max value for it. Don't let it go for under $30k. If I didn't already have one then I would buy it from you.

Have you plugged your cars vital stats into the Kelly Blue book type sites to see what value they show for a private sale? I bought my base model 2016 QX70 from Off Lease only and it was $29,000 and it was only 8 months old. That is about $17,000 below MSRP. The same car from dealers was at least $3,00 to $4,000 more.

I sold my Nissan Murano for an even $9,000 through Craigslist and the best price I got from a couple different dealers was $6,700. I did not even get an inquiry through my Autotrader listing.

Those number sound about right when you factor in the dealers are always going to low ball so they can make a larger profit on the turn around. When I bought mine in April, the dealer initially wanted $33k for it, 2011 with 30k miles.

KBB value is not that good ($30K appears to be the ballpark reasonable value). For those of us who own these vehicles, we love them. But to many people they are odd ducks and the styling can be polarizing which limits marketability. I love the vehicle and how it drives--great performance and power in the V-8. No maintenance issues either. But I also have a family of four and that's where the FX can fall short at times. The back seat is getting a bit cramped for my growing 14 year old. And the ride quality can be a bit harsh on less than perfect pavement (even the 20" wheels couldn't cure that).

Recently have been to dealers with my '12 FX35 LE...average trade in they want to give me for mine with 32k on it is $21k....
