Hello all. I live in Camberley, Surrey, UK. I am an Army Reservist and former Physics teacher. I have always been a bit of a petrol head and like big engines! I used to own a 73 Jensen Interceptor ( 7.2 litre / 440 cu in V8!) - wish I had kept it as their value has soared. Currently I have a Bentley Continental GT ( 6.0 litre W12) and a 2011 FX 50 S Premium ( Black/Black) , which I am very fond of.
As Infiniti have pulled out of Europe, it's difficult to get repairs/ service although some Nissan dealers have been listed as catering for Infiniti - but I haven't found them particularly knowledgeable!
Hope I might find answers on here.

Those are some impressive cars. That Bentley is a dream car. The Nissan service department would at least have the proper scan equipment which can be useful. That being said, I suggest you find a good independent shop in your area.

Also, thanks for your service. I have been retired for a bit over six years after serving over 35 years in the Canadian Army and RCAF.

Hi Denis, many thanks for that. Thank you for your Service as well. The Bentley is a bit of a money pit - as expected! I have to book it in to have two small Turbo drain junctions - only cost about £60 each, but needs the engine removed so total cost over £4000! However, it is very nice.
I tried to get the fx hooked up to "consult" at a local Nissan Dealer but they said it wasn't compatible with Infiniti models. The recommended ( by Nissan!)
Infiniti "specialist" is another Nissan Dealer, a bit further away. I have used them once for a service and they charged me £100 for a Pollen Filter ( i can get aftermarket ones off eBay for £10!) and, when I complained - they said that was the price set by Nissan. The Bentley ones don't cost that much. My main problem with my fx is that periodically ( more often than not) the radio doesn't work, nor the PDC and All-round Camera. No sound comes from the speakers. Sometimes it works - it did today - but, strangely when it's cold weather!! Once it is working it always stays on and doesn't go off/on but next time I start the car it either does or does not work. Apart from that there is a light knocking from the RH rear somewhere, but nobody could diagnose the cause. That said - love the car and over here in the UK,fx rhf.JPG fx rhf.JPG fx rhr.JPG Bentley.JPG fx rhf.JPG fx rhr.JPG Bentley.JPG fx are quite rare, the V8 even more so. Sorry to have gone on!

Consult III should be fully compatible with Infiniti vehicles. I think you have a dealer who just doesn't want to work on your car. I would look for a local Infiniti forum or user group. They can probably help. Best of luck
