USActuators Door Lock Actuator Repair Kits

The official estimation provided by the instructions is 1 hour per door. Maintenance ALWAYS takes me longer because I go slow, drink beer, easily get distracted, and diligently clean everything while I'm in there. I did the front passenger door first and took 3 casual hours dilly dallying along the way. Once the learning curve was out of the way, the rear doors took me an hour each, still going slow and easy. The driver's door is slightly the more difficult and took me 1.5 hours.
I intentionally go slow, but I'll agree with the 1 hour per door estimation. But give the 1st door some extra time.

Pmed you! May finally do all 4 Locks. Looking forward to your reply!

Just replied! Don't forget, all IS members are eligible for our $10 discount!

Answered like a true pro! We recommend starting on the back doors since they are the easiest to mount/access. The first door takes about 1.5 to figure out how everything comes apart, then its anywhere from 45-1 hour each for the other 2 doors. The driver door is more difficult as it is the "command center" for the cars windows and locks, which is why we suggest doing this door last. On average, you can knock out the whole car in 4-5 hours, but save yourself over $1500.

I just did the front doors yesterday. So nice to see the locks working again . Did the drivers door first and took a while. Hardest part was getting the actuator bracket mounted right. It seemed I had to bend it more than in the pictures. I have it mounted a bit further back so it allowed the actuator to fully move forward. Will try to wrap up my rear doors today
Overall I recommend the kits so far. Its not to difficult and the instructions are clear. Just take a little time getting used to mounting the actuator, finding the wiring to add the T-clips to. I did add electrical tape to all my connections to prevent them from coming apart. Just hoping these actuators last a long time!

Thank you for the review! We offer a lifetime warranty on all actuators. We offer the highest quality actuators, with the best internals, which have been tested to over 10,000 cycles.

Thanks for the followup and discount/refund. I completed all 4 doors now and they are working as they "originally" should have.
At this point I'd highly recommend this kit to anyone that been plagued with failing actuators. Especially if you don't want to piece the entire kit togather and splice wires. Both the quality and support are very good. Cheers!

Teero, The $25 promotion was only for kits of 4, but i will go ahead and give you the $10 diocunt for being an IS member.

Thank you for the support and comments!

I had a good experience as well installing a kit on the passenger side front door of my 04 FX35. The lock on this one door did not function reliably in hot weather. (This DIY followed having the drivers side front door lock mechanism replaced with Infiniti parts by an independent shop about 5 years ago for almost $500!). This $40 kit is awesome and includes everything you need. Probably took me close to two hours because I took my time. Even got the $10 discount by requesting it via PM on this site. Thanks hbinfiniti!

My actuators haven't fully failed but ALL of them either lock or don't lock. I usually need to "LOCK" my car twice with the remote to make sure it's locked. Never have a problem unlocking them. It's weird cause it's ALL or none... And it doesn't fail all the time... I'm guessing roughly 50% so I've just gotten used to pressing lock twice on my remote...

FYI I've already had to replace 2 of them (after ~3 years). Considering the stock actuators worked for 10 years, I'm not sure how much more reliable these are. Definitely less expensive.

YMMV... Some have had them go much sooner... Mine are just acting weird and have been since the warranty expired LOL...

If they havent failed yet, then they will once the summertime heat hits!

As the internals heat up (from repetitive attempts to lock/unlock or the sunshine) the doors will get worse and worse. I would suggest doing all 4 at once as you already have the tools out. Also, when we do installations we do the 2 doors simultaneously(both front doors at the same time, then both rears) to cut the install time in half.

Any discounts available? Or a sale?
We are going to get another sale going next month. I am happy to honor the same deal as last years Summer kick off sale if you DM me.
