Haha. IF it works out that one can be made it will be something that can be made available in a group by, I'd think. We already have a list that shows that there's at least some interest. The question will be... how much will it cost.

Performance Motorsports is really bad at calling and emialing people back...Ill probably just wait untily you've confimred their ability to tune the FX50/
 
Glad to hear you are working directly with UpRev. I would be going down there for a tune, but I got in on a group tune up here with Steve Kan. He's a great tuner, I just hope he's good with Osiris.
 
I'm going to try to stop by again tomorrow (for something else) and see if there's been any progress mapping the ROM. It takes time so I don't expect anything immediate.
 
Does anyone know what would be the pricing for the uprev tuning?
 
This might sound dumb :confused.: but whats this uprev tune, how much does it cost and is it available for the first gen FX35???

Individual rates from tuners can vary quite a bit, but a ballpark estimate is *around* $500 for a single dyno tune.

Yes very familiar with tuning, just dont know what the uprev tune is and what type of gains I can get from it. Ive only owned my FX for few months and every car gets tuned in different ways.
 
It depends on your mods, I went to a shop that does uprev tuning and with no mods at all bone stock he said I would gain around 5hp. Hearing that and the amount of $ being spent it wasn't worth it . If you do exhaust and what not then it might be worth it.
 
With bolt ons it will defintally be worth it. I know on the older cars oem was pig rich targeting 11.9/12.1 afr on NA. THe g guys would make some decent top end with the tune

Only problem is, there are hardly any performance mods for the FX
 
I cant see the graph on my phone but it looks like about +15hp peak and a good increase throughout the mid range. Thats just a stillen exhaust+tune?

There are still some simple mods we can do to the fx home made that dont cost to much, like opening up the air box.
If the fx50 has the same cat part number as the fx35, then in theroir the header outlet should be the same has as all of the other vq35hr, so we can buy HFC from them, I wouldnt drill out the oem since that isnt legal, but people can gain power from gutting the cats, and we do have some exhaust made/ can make a custom for the fx50.

so I do believe anyone that has modded cars a little bit can indeed can do intake, hfc, and exhuast
