Upper Dash Removal?

Hi There,

I recently installed a custom RGB lighting kit in my car that I hardwired into each door. I want to continue the line of lights along the dashboard seam, however, I don't know if the top part is removable from the glove box molding, or if it's all one molded piece. Has anyone tried removing the top separately? Thanks.

SCY7H3 is correct, as i started doing this and we realized the only way to hide the wires was to cut or make a hole and decided against it.

It all depends on how long the light is. I assume it's a string light. If possible you can get a much longer one and have the wires start in a hidden spot and go right to the other side. But that all depends on how you want it and if the string light is flexible enough. Small holes in the right places are only visible if someone really looks at it. The light looks great, I might look into doing something like this one day.

Yes, I always see these installed on doors only, but that reveal continues along the dash and makes so much sense to have LEDs also carry on up to the steering wheel column.
I was wondering if anyone out there attempted it. And yes, someone has:

That looks sweet. I wish Infiniti evolved the FX/QX into a 3rd gen with more features and styling. There's so much room for growth. They could even do an EV version of it knowing that's where things are getting pushed. I guess we'll all be driving BYD's by the looks of it lol
