Upcoming Porsche Macan-Baddest CUV on Earth?

So Porsche has a new "mini-Cayenne" of sorts coming later this year, the Macan. It is said to have a few trim levels/ engine options including a twin turbo six putting out around 390 HP. Depending on what it'll weigh, the thing should fly. It shares the platform with the good looking but mundane Audi Q5. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a "turbo S" version at some point with 450+ HP. Infiniti will need to revamp the FX50 and use the Nissan GT-R drive train to smack this Porsche back down the pecking order.

Thoughts?

The Cayenne Turbo is almost 4,800 lbs. This thing could be coming in around 800 lbs. less. That would give the Macan turbo around the same exact power to weight ratio as the Cayenne turbo. It should be a way better drive and much better on the gas than any of the V8 super SUVs.

Looks like a Cayman, Cayenne, and Panamera had some sleezy mating ritual and this was the result. LOL! Not sure if I like it or not, would need to see more. In general, I am not a huge fan of CUVs....to me if you want performance out of something fairly small with some room for practicality think I would go with an Impreza WRX/STI hatchback although I am sure the Porsche will have the luxury advantage of course.

You don't like CUVs? The FX is one of the original CUVs lol.

The FX (to me), is just big enough to not be called a CUV. I define CUV = Compact Utility Vehicle instead of 'Crossover'. The EX, BMW X3, MB GLK to me are CUVs.

it looks like the picture above isn't going to be how it's going to look... here's some pics (of... I think spied)

that's fine if you want to define it differently... but I take pride in knowing that the FX (1st gen) is the vehicle that started the trend of CROSSOVER UTILITY VEHICLES

How much is this thing going for? Cause the 2014 jeep SRT8 look pretty badass for a 60k vehicle. If the turboS version will cost more than 100k I rather expend that money on a GL63AMG.. If I would expend such amount in a CUV/SUV..

Beside that it looks really sleek..

Audi of America has confirmed the future availability of a quattro Q5 with a direct injected 2.5T 5cyl motor, likely making it an RS model. I'd bet the hot version of this new Porsche will get that motor instead of a T6. 500hp should be an easy target.

Porche has lost its styling edge like Mercedes has, imho. Infiniti, audi and bmw are clearly better styled vehicles.
