Up and down bouncing

Hi there,
Another great forum, and this is my first post.
3 days ago I put on a set of Nokian Hakka R2 SUV, and since then, I feel this up and down bounce (shake) at certain speeds (mainly at 60 kph/40mph). The steering wheel doesnt shake.
My question: Could one of the rear tires be unbalanced?
If so, wouldnt be a side-to-side shake instead?
TIA

If tires are out of balance, they can shake up and down. I forget the term, but when they balance tires, the machines do balance this out.

Try moving the rear rims to the front and see if it follows, if not it might be a rear shock or something.

I just got an appointement to have them rebalanced.
It pretty much narrows down to a rebalance, since I wasnt having these hops before the tires were changed and the rims are the same.

More weights is my guess unless there is visual defects or it the amount of weight needed is way out of hand. I have seen two strips (about 10 or 12) weights slapped on a wheel. I wouldn't worry too much, most likely the tire just need to be re-balanced.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Indeed, one of the rear wheels was jumping because the tire didnt "popped out" properly.
They told me, that these Nokian tires are a bit trickier to install. They should be inflated to 40-42 psi the first time, then low down the preassure to 33 psi and then have them balanced.
What they previously did, was: to mount the tire, inflate it to 33 psi , and balance it. The tire didnt popped completely and they balanced it this way, sticking an awful lot amount of weight on the wheel (they scrapped half of it the second time).

the bead didnt seat on rim properly.. Very common with low profile tires and lack of lube on bead when mounting it.. Also very common on tires with thick beads (runflats, etc..)
