Uneven ride height?

I've noticed that my '07 FX35 AWD sits higher on the driver's side rear when compared to the others. I never noticed it stock, but when I lowered it, it was obvious. I had H&R's, and noticed that it sat a little over an inch higher on the driver's rear. I checked the spring mounts, and everything was good. I recently installed BC's and with the springs set equally on each side, the driver's rear sat a little over an inch higher. I had to raise the passenger side an inch just to even it out. The other 3 corners all sit equally. I bought the car used, but there were no accidents on the Carfax or anything like that. Is this something normal?
 
do you observe this on an even surface? If you notice this irregularity while your car is parked by curbside by the sidewalk, then this may be normal. Most modern roads are designed with a curvature slopping ever gently towards either side of the sidewalk which is designed to flow water freely down the storm drains when it rains. I noticed this too on my '07 FX but realized the discrepancy was corrected when the car sits on a flat even surface.
 
might be a bad spring, did you check the dampining in the rear? if both sides are set at the same height? might be off a inch or so
 
Yep Cruiser it right on. You need to measure on even/level ground. Make sure tire wear and pressure is same on all wheels too.
 
I've checked it on several different surfaces - my parking garage, various driveways, parking lots, etc. It was really obvious. I checked it on different surfaces specifically to make sure that it was there and it wasn't just due to uneven ground. Also, it's more pronounced than uneven ground would cause.

Dracula - I thought maybe it was a bad spring as well w/ the H&R's, but the exact same gap remained after the BC install. I checked the spring mounts as well and even swapped them, difference still there. The alignment on the car checked out last time I had it done a few months back.
 
Hmm, maybe the shock body or damper is not set at the same preload, 2nd the top bump stop may be sagging or bad, or just not sitting right. Have you checked if your fronts are at the same height, and equal preload?

Does your call sway around? due to the unevenness
 
Dampers are set identically right now (only the spring perches are different to even out the height). I'm too lazy to swap dampers between sides to be 100% sure, but I'm reasonably sure that's not the issue since I had the same problem with H&R springs and OEM shocks. Bump stops were checked, all components look ok. I even measured the fender from the ground on both sides just to make sure that it wasn't messed up bodywork. The fronts are at the same height L/R and set at the same settings. It's just the rear driver that sits higher for some crazy reason.

Car rides great; it's not uneven now since I compensated with the coilovers. But even when I had H&R's and the side sat higher, I noticed no issues with handling or ride. It's totally visual.
