TX CL find thread.

She's at the dealer this morning. New clutch, new radiator & hoses, new brake master cylinder. All that work is going to cost about as much as I paid for the car, but that's still less than $3K when it is all said and done.

I keep thinking about how my GT35R turbo for the FX cost me about the same as the entire Miata...

That's because you got an excellent deal on the Miata. A 95 should be fetching good money, especially in covertible season (assuming that it is in good nick and probably has the popular equipment package). An earlier year model with the 1.6L goes for about what you paid for that 95.

Ahhh - I'm glad you are here to make me feel better about it!

It's staying overnight now - pickup tomorrow, they say. Adding a new water pump, timing belt and front seals to the job list. The dealership has NOTHING in stock. I went to Advanced autoparts and got just about every part they are installing.

I have the front brake pads and the valve cover gasket waiting at home for a DIY job. You are right though - once all this is done the car should be good and I should have piece of mind. And a car that costs 26 bucks to fill and gets 30+ mpg, which is different than I am used to with the FX...
