Two questions, Bluetooth streaming and video display

Hey guys, I have spent the last 60 minutes searching and was unable to really find what I was looking for.
I have a 2003 FX45 with navigation package.
I want to do two things, (doesn't have to be 1 device that allows it, could be two).

First I would like to use the screen to watch DVDs ( I know the legal ramifications, just asking if there is a product that will allow a video input to show on the screen, my 2003 Duramax I bought something that works).
Second, I would love to stream audio from my iPhone/Android phone and have it play through the speaker system, maybe something that plugs into the Sat area of the radio, since it is not used?
My second question seems to be answered using https://www.infinitiscene.com/searc...dge-iPod-iPhone-USB-Integration-Kit-Bluetooth this, but since that thread is a year old, was curious if anything newer has come on the market.

Thanks everyone!

Rob

I've been thinking about getting the Dice media bridge. I think thats the only one ive seen that has built in BT streaming. Might be a good Idea to get an audio options thread detailing the different options and listing the pro's and cons.

Main disadvantage of the Dice I've seen is that it disconnects the factory XM receiver, so If you need that to still work it may not be the right choice. There was another thread I saw before where someone hooked up NavTv and the ipod integration (not dice)

theres this one: https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=7792-NavTV-ipod-integration

but I remember another one with more pictures doing it also. couldn't find it in a search. might be on the org.

hate to TTT my own thread, but some help would be nice :good:

For Bluetooth music streaming I believe both Grom and Isimple have bluetooth music streaming kits
that install to the back of our units. I think the full kit goes for around $200.

If you have a DVD option, you could do the cheaper alternative which I Just did.
1) Get a small bluetooth reciever (under $50)
2) RCA to 3.5mm adapter
3) Plug the reciever into audio in jack on the DVD player.
4) <optional> I stuck an NFC tag in the car and everytime I swipe my android over it it will turn on my bluetooth on my phone,
connect to the bluetooth reciever and play my album playlist thru the car speakers.

Can I do this option u mentioned, I dont have rear dvd system......my dvd/navi is under the front passenger seat, cud I sumhow tap into it with my 3.5mm blyetoooth receiver??....thx for the info

I have the Dice Mediabridge in my 03 FX35 and 03 FX45. I stream via Bluetooth from Razr without any issue. I also uses a USB stick as well. One thing I don't like about the Dice MB is it seems very forgetful where you left off. I'll 90% of the time it will start at the very first folder you have on the USB stick if the car was seating with the engine off for over an hour. Just stop, engine off, run in to the store, and come back out, it'll resume play where you left off. Also, if you plan to play through a USB stick, you will need an after market sub & amp as it just plain flat. Stream via BT, most decent media player on the phones have tone controls and you can boost the bass from there then the music will be good.

About the GROM, not sure if they made any improvement. When I had it, it was any good. Too much problem back then (about two years) before I got the Dice MB. Been using the Dice MB for about two years now. Other then resume play issue, its a reliable device.
