Turning fog lights into daytime running lights DTRL

I went to my dealer and they said no such thing exists in terms of being able to activate it. I was even showed it on the consult machine and it doesn't show this in the factory service manual.

OP unless you show us some invoice I don't think any of us will be able to have it done.
 
Congrats on your new ride, just got mine not too long ago either. Actually I've been contemplating removing my DTRLs from the fogs and wiring up something different. Or maybe..hrm..I'll try to locate the trigger wire to power up my LEDs instead and leave the fogs out of it. I want to do an HID kit on the fogs and wouldn't want it running when the car's on...
 
I considered the fog light to drl option, but instead I bought the Philips Daylight8 DRL Kit and had it installed at Best Buy, they are brighter with no lights on, then dim when the headlights are running... $79 on ebay with free shipping!

Here they are with the headlights ON, faintly seen below, but still there...

Here they are with the Headlights OFF, they seem almost as bright as the fog lights!

Very nice, so they routed the dtrl output to the LEDs instead? This gives me some hope here.

Remeber, the fog lights doesn't comes on as DTRL on US model? The way Xtreme's setup was wired up most likely would be triggered by a source that is energized when the car is running such as the accessories/run wire off the ignition switch or source off a fuse in the engine bay and then a wire from the kit's controller box tap into the headlight wire so that it will dim is it sees voltage from that wire; otherwise full bright with headlight off.
 
That is correct! The kit comes with its own control box which has a line that feeds into the headlight fuse... when you turn the vehicle on, the DRL's come on immediately, they only dim once you switch to parking lights or headlights. I actually tend to drive with ONLY the DRL's on now, it looks great!! Below is a screenshot from their install guide...
