Trying to bring back an 03 FX35 to its former glory

I have a bunch of things...

Mechanical:
  • replace shocks, struts and springs in all 4 corners
  • replace rt side valve cover gasket
  • replace thermostat
  • replace transmission gaskets
  • clean the throttle body, and plenum
  • replace (or hack-fix) the rear diff support bushing
Exterior:
  • fix door dent
  • replace front passenger door handle
  • replace rear driver-side door handle
  • clean up scratches, scrapes and sun damaged paint/clear coat
  • fix short in driving lights
  • replace broken antenna
Interior:
  • fix or replace dash - cracking out of control
  • fix tear in drivers seat bolster
As I go through these things, I will determine what I want to keep original/stock and what I want to upgrade or customize. I am pusing 160K miles on the clock and am still undecided as to how much I want to put into it. I love my FX, but I am at the point of deciding whether I should really make it nice again, or keep it safe and reliable and let my boys use it. I made an pic of how I would like to customize it that I will post later.
 
Thanks. Yeah, I saw a custom truck at a local cars and coffee and was thinking a slightly darker version of this would look really good.

  • replace rt side valve cover gasket - RTV Spark plug tube gasket leak hack (for now)
  • replace thermostat
  • replace transmission gaskets
  • clean the throttle body, and plenum - cleaned MAS and throttle body
  • replace (or hack-fix) the rear diff support bushing
  • installed oil catch can
Exterior:
  • fix door dent
  • replace front passenger door handle
  • replace rear driver-side door handle
  • clean up scratches, scrapes and sun damaged paint/clear coat
  • fix short in driving lights
  • replace broken antenna
  • replace driver side weather stripping
Interior:
  • fix or replace dash - cracking out of control
  • fix tear in drivers seat bolster
