trunk

I did not start this thread, but the thought of upgrading has always been in the back of my mind. I dont want to give up any cargo space & I'm keeping the spare.

same here, i dont want to compromise the space in the trunk cuz its pretty small as it is. but wat do u guys suggest? im thinking of putting a JL w7 but dono where. iono i gotta do some measureing first to see where's a good spot to put it.

Once you figure it out, post it right away!  I've been thinking about the same set up.

I also want to keep my cargo org. & cargo mat
Maybe I should just get one of those BassLink thingies?

hmmm....this got me stump'd. bad ass sound system but no trunk..hard to figure out where to fit subs however not compromising the trunk. Anybody know if JL stealboxes fit anywhere inside the trunk??? i think that could be my best bet. im guessing if i remove the stock bose subs it could work? :embarrassed:

I put a 12" and amp inside my spare wheel well, but I had to take the spare out.

I don't know if it truely is or not, but that picture of the opened up subwoofer looks like the pic I took over a year ago lol... I even looked behind me at the table and the wood looks the same color/pattern...

I ended up selling it for like $50

Nismokid, that doesn't look like anywhere near big enough of an enclosure for the sub? I thought it's recommended to have atleast 1.5 sq feet of enclosed area for the sub...?

lol nvm, I found the pic I took:

lol I got my set up from a member on the Org last year. I have a 12" Pioneer Shallow Component Subwoofer in there so I was told the box was built to specs. The Speaker grill is alittle scratched up from too many trips to BJ's tho

It's hard to belive that any sound can come out of that thing! Especially when its completely sealed like that. I opened my trunk to see if I had one and didnt think I did until I saw the BOSE on that disc in the middle of the spare.

Throw in some old NWA cd's and it will bump (a little). Or Planet Rock

is it possible to use the OEM sub box and replace those subs with better subs? has anybody tried it?
i dunno if that will work because different subs require different encloser sizes and maybe porting for optimum sound...you can try it but it might not work out so well. plus with the bass really high i find my subs come into contact with the encloser (maybe that or something else) the enclosor and make an annoying sound.
