True Dual Exhaust for FX35

strangely the headers look fine. I honestly thought they made a mistake & sent me an aluminized exhaust instead of ss when I seen how much rust there is, I called to complain which is when they told me no, they don't offer aluminized, all there exhausts are ss...


now it may look kinda bad, but it's all surface rust really... it's still solid & not like a rotted out exhaust really, but this was not what I expected at all.



the stillen is not cheap so I didn't expect it to be cheap but it is cheap even though it's not cheap :k:
 
Man I am so glad I don't live where I have to worry about a winter season..

Sorry to hear about your set up John... and your right... for that amount of money you think we would get a better product.
 
Pay big money, & it shouldnt look like this. Sorry, but that is one ugly setup. Doesnt match the ride its on. Get your money back.
 
you should look into fastintentions they make one nice exhaust for the G and the Z. I got the ss on mine drive it all winter and it is still good
 
I had Stillen intake, headers and exhaust system on my 97 Pathfinder. Sounded sweet, but droned on the highway. The exhaust showed signs of rust 2 months after install. 3 years later, my tip needed to be re-welded back on. Holes galore throughout the pipes and muffler. Other Pathfinder owners had issues with cracking in the headers. Fortunately I didn't. Anyhow, I was disappointed with the poor quality and longevity of the Stillen products I bought (oh, rotors that kept warping too), I've stayed away from them. I hope not many others are having the same rust issue.

I bought an Invidia exhaust system through Gordon and it just arrived. Can't wait to have it put on. The box was heavy...75lbs! Don't know how much the Stillen or Nismo systems weigh, or the OEM system for that matter, but 75lbs sounds like a lot.
 
I'll give some feedback once I get it installed. If I get a chance to do before and after videos to compare sounds inside and outside, I'll post them.
 
I want a quieter exhaust now, I need something quieter than the stillen, & I sure can't modify the stillen cause then when it rots away they'll say it's modded & not cover it probably... problem is I think all aftermarket exhausts are going to be loud with the headers..., just a friggin noisy little 6 cylinder that don't go anywere in a hurry right now, but I also want something that will flow nice later with FI...
 
That Q300 didn't sound as loud as the stillen in the video clips, it's always hard to really tell what it sounds like even with the clips I think. At 60mm just slightly smaller than stillens 2.5" it may not be as loud depending on the muffler and should also have a little better low end of course that means you sacrifice a little off the top.
The more I look at the pictures of the invidia the more I like it.
