transmission filter

hi guys, just wanted to know if we have a transmission filter and is it nessasary to change it as i am going to change the tranny oil next week..i remember my last tranny oil change was just drain and refill...kindly let me know..tks guys

Our trans filter doesn't need to be changed. If you really wanted to change it, you'll have to remove the valve body from the trans. Here are some pics of the filter.

or put in an external transmission filter if your worried. lots of people do it on the g35/ 350z when they add in a transmision cooler

Pretty sure it is magnetic. I know mine had a tiny bit of shavings on it when I first changed the fluid, just like the diffs.
