Hi all, Just got the Derale atomic cool tranny cooler installed...Amazing quality! Forgot to ask my man.to take photos of the install...Anyway the cooler comes with an inline T-Stat which turns the fan on when tranny temps reach 180ish and shuts off when cools to 165...I have a trans temp gauge in my car so I monitored it..climbling hills here and 42oc temps, my gauge always goes up to 250of which is a little more than normal so I drive the same mountain roads and drove it hard 230ish on the freeway..Temps didn't go higher than 220 degrees ferenheit and when I came home and shut off the engine, the fan still runs for a couple of minutes to cool down the temps to 165, then it shuts off...sounds,sweet too...i emailed the company to ask why they said the fan kicks on at 180..mine went a little higher but still 30degress ferenheit less than when I just had the normal B&M cooler...going 4 a long drive tomorrow to test again....I also changed my tranny fluid to Speed Master(Made in JP) racing tranny fluid....Very smooth now...Better than the Red Line D4 I had.

Cooler is a 15row plate/fin which are excellent for tranny cooling.
Hit me up with any questions!
A must cooler/fan combo if u live in a hot area.

Hmmmm... I kinda wanna get one just cause! I just did a 5+ hour drive to Quebec City and kept wondering about various temps... I try my best to make as few stops as possible on my drives so any kind of cooling would help I'm sure!

This tranny cooler is a MUST if u live in a hot and humid climate or go on long trips or drive up mountain roads..Even if u don't live in a hot climate area, The tranny cooler/fan combo will keep your tranny fluid in tact! Don't know why I didn't buy this sooner! Awesome upgrade! Derale is also a quality well known company!
