Turns out it had front end damage that was fixed at the previous owner's expense... here's whats been replaced in last 2 months since i've owned it.
Intelligent cruise control bc the laser was crushed...
steering wheel motor
seatbelt
drivers side seat motor
drivers side airbag
drivers side airbag pump
front end crash sensor
rack and pinion
sway bar links
pulley bearing
fuel gauge sensors cleaned
there was misc paintwork done on the car and a few odds and ends of random scratches or trim that didnt look right.
All in all i had no idea what the car had been through and what has been fixed right. the previous service records were minimally done and who knows what will break next. I complained and complained to my Acura dealer whom i bought it from and in exchange for the hardship they got me into a 2008 Acura TL technology with 35,000 miles for less money. The TL was owned by an old old lady whom never drove in the winter and never used the touch screen (she didnt know how). Either way Im pleased that I have a nice car with a 100k mile warranty and good gas mileage but i will surely miss the styling and infiniti growl on my FX. I got compliments all the time *sigh*
