TPMS Swap when swapping wheels with someone else

Hello guys,

I'm thinking about trading my 20" wheels/tires for someone else's stock 18" wheels/tires + some cash. Assuming that we're both equipped with TPMS sensors, do we have to physically swap the TPMS sensors in order for them to work? Or can we keep all the TPMS sensors in place, and just have the dealer reprogram the "unfamiliar" sets or sensors and let them work? Thanks for any help!

Dealer will be able to reprogram. Mine charged me $40. Got to a Nissan dealer as it is cheaper.
