That's what I thought as well, but they swore up and down that they couldn't get them to register because of the position. I don't know if they got a reading. The exact words were "the front two registered, but the tech could not get the back two to register because they sit too far inboard". I asked if there was anything wrong with the sensors and he said no, they were fine. They didn't charge me for the labor so I don't think they were ripping me off. It just seemed weird that they couldn't do it. When I had an IS350, lots of guys were putting their TPMS sensors in the spare in the trunk or pipe bombs in the trunk. Those always read just fine. So just take it to another dealer? Anyone know of a dealer in Atlanta that can do this? The shop that installed my wheels couldn't register them either because they didn't have the tools for an Infiniti.
Strangely enough, I had issues w/ the TPMS sensors on my factory wheels as well. Most of the time it was fine, then every once in a while the light would just come one while driving and then go away. Sometimes it would be there at startup, sometimes while on the highway, the light would start flashing and then go away. The dealer never could diagnose it because it was intermittent.
