TPMS on the way out?

Driving on the highway for a little more than an hour today & all of the sudden the TPMS light was flashing on the dash. Checking the PSI's on the NAV screen and the top one had ** and all the rest read 33psi. Got off the highway & the light was on steady now. Slowed to a stop, the light went out & the NAV screen read the PSI on the top line again (all 33 psi now) Drove about another hour with no more issues....tires were not low PSI at all.

Does this mean that one of the TPMS is dying out or was this just a fluke? This happen to anyone else yet?
 
Sounds like either the sensor or battery inside. Same fix - new sensors. I believe it is recommended to change all at the same time.
I have one wheel that goes out every now and then. (seems like after 40ish constant miles)
 
Well according to the Infiniti Elite warranty I purchased it looks like the TPMS sensors are covered....Ill add it to the list of concerns when I bring the truck into the dealer...thanks!!:smug:
 
Mine went to the ** also but never came back. It was replaced under warranty with a $50 fee. I guess the extended warranty.
 
I talked to my local Infiniti dealer guy. He quoted $250 plus tax for the replacement of TPMS. Do you know anyone who can do it cheaper and with quality? The America's Tire store give you an option of TPMS "rebuild" kit. Do you know what that is all about? I know you need to reprogram the computer after TPMS sensors are replaced. Need some expert advice!
 
I have two like-new low mileage sensors. Came off a 2006 g35 coupe, one was programmed to my 05 g35x sedan. The other sensor was programmed to a 03 350z.

Pm me if ur interested. I can sell u one or both.
 
Well to resurrect this thread from almost 2 years ago to the day.....2 of my sensors are now "officially" dead. TPMS light flashes upon start up & then stays on steady all the time. Two of the sensors have no reading ( ** )

Not bad lasting 2 years after the first glitch! ;)

Time to replace all four
