TPMS and Tire Size

2 Questions:

1. I just purchased a set of the 20" stock wheels from a 2005 FX and i was wondering if my TPMS sensors on my stock 18" wheels from my 2010 FX will work on the new wheels?

2. Can I run 275/55 R20 tires on my stock setup without rubbing issues? The tires are a little over an inch taller than stock which is my concern. I want to think there would be no rubbing since a lot of FXers drop the FX a little over an inch and they have no problems with the stock tire size.

Thanks for any input from the Scene

The TPMS will work fine. I just purchased a set of 20" stock wheels I plan to have powdercoated. I checked to make sure I could use my TPMS from my 18" OEM wheels before buying them. Not sure about the tire fit. Seems a little tall.

The speedometer issue does concern me so thats probably why i will just stick with the stock size. I live in Jackson, MS and the roads in this city were voted the worst of any capital city so I wanted to offset the harsh ride of the 20" wheels with a taller tire.

i wouldn't worry too much. tpms will work, odometer already reads more than it should, 20's might actually help a little. the tires size you've chosen is appropriate. don't worry about rubbing. it might actually help a little with ride comfort.
