I cant for the life of me figure this tonneau cover crap out. if anyone has a pic of what it looks like in their car, that would be great.
i seem to have got it somewhat on with the seats upright but i like to keep the back reclined and it seems like it got all these flaps for something.
any input would be great thanks.

seems straight forward from this photo:

On the gen 1.5, the spring loaded flaps spring down when the seat is reclined. That way, when the seats are upright, there is no exposed gap. I assume gen 2 is the same.

I dont know how you would make that flap face upwards as that would involve putting the toneau cover in upside down...??

But just make sure that the side which is split (60/40 split, like you seats), is the which is touching the seats. And also it makes it infinitely (no pun intended) easier to install the cover if you fold down your back seats... The cover just does not want to go in without scratching stuff otherwise. Then fold your seats back to their upright position and they should push the flaps up and down for reclining.

It's a tight fit. Just make sure the part that touches the back of the seats face downward (springs on the bottom). As you recline the seats, the rear of the seats will push the two flaps down (the 60/40 flaps). The pic from post #2 shows what it looks like will the seats somewhat reclined, if you notice the small flaps that touch the back of the seats isn't even visible because the seats are pushing it downward.

If you fold the seats down it will make it 100% easier to put in correctly, until you get the hang of putting it in with the seats up. Also when you remove it with the seats reclined its a hassle to put back sometimes without returning the seat to the straight up position.

thanks you guys for your help i got it on.... didnt know it snapped into the bars on the side either but the main thing was putting the flaps down...

i also got this other part that came w/ my tonneau cover and im assuming it goes on the trunk door by the windows.... however it wouldnt stay in.... upon further inspection it looked like it may have been damaged.... (my tonneau cover was damaged as well by the previous owner

here is the picture of the mesh cover..... does it look like its missing something? perhaps around the holes?

will try to find a microfiche on this part
lmk what u guys think thx

That mesh cover is held in place by the plastic piece you're holding. The hole goes into the plastic tab that looks a little bent in your last pic ( under the word cover). The mesh is sandwiched between two of those pieces. It attaches to the tailgate in your 2nd pic.

thats what I figured .... I had it on and it fit nicely but when I lift the trunk open it falls down lol .... It's probably because the bent tab , ill probably Jerry rig something thanks

Glad you got it on.

As for the window portion it sounds like you got it but if it doesnt stay something is broken.

Now the real question here is...Whats in that H&R box in your trunk...? :)

Haha it's just the stock springs , I threw the H&Rs on last week .... Only a 1 inch drop but I can see major difference in look and handling

As for the tonneau cover I think I will buy new clips if they're cheap enough since my fx is at Infiniti right now getting serviced

Yes the piece in your hand snaps into the piece that is still attached to the lid. First place the mesh in between with the curved side facing the rear. Mine would come loose occasionly too, its kind of cheaply made and one of those sort of pieces that once it comes loose its never the same. I recently bought 20lb 3M double sided tape from Home Depot and doubled it up on the inside.......... problem solved.
