Is it bad to get tire shine spray on your rims?(i have stock rims) I have a cousin wih a G35 coupe, she said it turned her rims green after a while.

I've been doing it for years and no issues. Stock rims are alloy and coated with some kind of clear coat I think so they're good.

nope just be sure to clean them afterwards. plastic hubcaps will turn color though....which we dont have

I get them on rims alot, nothing happens.
We do have plastic center caps keep in mind...
I always spray away with little regard to the rim, and then wipe the rim down after.

Can't be any worse than cat piss and thats uncontrollable, for the most part.

I don't use spray anymore, but when I did, I made a cardboard cut out the same size as the rim and made a little handle in the middle. When I wanted to spray the tires, I just held the cardboard over the wheel and sprayed away.

I always spray the tires first, then detail my wheels.
Tire Foam
I don't like the tire sprays that are greasy or black they tend to leave residue and dirt sticks to tires. I like tire foam not greasy and I use it on black on bumpers and below doors on plastic. The foam sprayed onto a rag works good on dash vynl as well.
