Tire Pressure Monitoring System Repair/Maintenance Question

Try these I bought these a few months ago and I have no big complains. At first the guy at the dealer tried to tell me that they were not meant for the FX even though they are the same numbers. Maybe they just wanted me to pay $200 extra to buy an Infiniti TPMS. I paid like $140 for all four.

Or a small piece of electricians tape.

Haha, I'm not driving some 1989 Ford, no tape for me. If I remember, the cluster has a thin overlay on it with the warning lights outlined on it. Maybe I can just use a Sharpie and just color over it or block the LED behind it.

So ... how can we set them ourselves? I assume a lot of guys that run winters would use the sensors on both sets if they could reprogram them themselves each time.

Below is the exact url address for 2004 FX35 OEM Pressure Sensors...Now you have to have some one turn them on and then they will sync with your vehicle...You turn one on at a time starting with the Front/Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right...I think this is the right order....The url address is as follows:

I got new 20's im going to be putting on this summer. Bought them from a local IS memeber and he balanced them already. Would it cost to take the old tpms sensors our and put them into the new 20's? Would they have to re balance also?

Really depends on what the tire shop wants to charge you but yes.
To remove or install the sensors, the tire is removed from the rim. Each tire remove/install/balance should be about $25 per wheel.

Most places charge $10-$15 per sensor to swap. Basically what they charge to install a tire since that's what they're doing. You should have it balanced again since they have to debead the tire and reinstall.
