Took my 2006 FX45 in to have the +2 timing advance done today. I had an appointment set up at another dealer who sounded like he knew what he was doing for next weekend but I had a warranty appointment at a dealer closer to my office so I thought why not...... I went into what I knew about the the whole consult II program advance, that I didn't want to buy cipher for 400.00 and they agreed to do it for 60.00. The guy doing it was bit older (not down on age) and seemed a bit mystified about why (like why I would want to do it) and how, but did the deal. It took probably 40 minutes (I have heard 10 minutes max?) and in the end he came in said its done and left really quickly i have my doubts whether he nailed it or not. It feels stronger but you know its hard to separate the mind form the actual. SO I have a Service Data and Specifications report that looks like a lot stock spec info. and a small 2" wide consult print out. The print out has two boxes one over the other. Both say target IGN TIM ADJ. Two lines down the top box has a line that says CRRCTD IGN TIM O, the lower box says CRRCTD IGN TIM 2 degrees, no + no - just a 2 and the degree symbol. Anybody have a clue if the procedure was completed? FYI -Seattle is NOT an FX epicenter, VERY few shops have any clue about FX mods of any kind here.
