Ticking/clicking noise 2000-3000rpm

Just live with it then lol, or try another dealer. It's not worth having the whole steering torn apart for this. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but this noise is normal trust me. I've been in two 2009 FX's and one 2010 FX50, and they all make this click sound when turning the steering. The one my friend has makes this sound and he didn't even notice it till I pointed it out, so you REALLY must pay attention to everything cause the people that have been in them didn't even notice it till I said something.

Took mine in last week for 15k maintenance, etc. Mentioned seat and metallic vibrational noise near shifts and moderate starts. They said they couldn't reproduce noise, but I took service guy for a ride afterwards, and he heard it, but not as loud as I've heard it before...said it was nothing and at least it's documented. Seat they agreed, and ordered me a new track to come in this week. I will post how that goes.

How is your seat? Still moves or not at all? :-)

Well, had the seat track replaced, and while car was in shop, I got a call from dealer asking if I had a scratch on the driver's side passenger door when I dropped it off. 9 months I have had this car, park it in the far reaches of parking lots to avoid dings and scratches, and take it to the dealer for 2 hours only to have them gouge the heck out of it. It is obviously from the track install. The scratch is down low on the rear door, moving toward the edge of the front door, but surprisingly, the scratch doesn't cross the seam...wonder how that happened?

Anyway, they will be repainting it, but it still sucks. Don't feel the movement anymore, but I have the seat move back upon exiting, and sometimes now it doesn't return when I start the car. Have to press #1 on seat position to make it move back to position. Maybe I should take it in for that? Not a chance. So, for now, problem fixed. Still have tin-like noise before shift on normal starts. Think it is vibration from exhaust, but who knows.
