Thoughts on this headlight retrofit

I like them, but would look for more examples outside of the eBay ad.
Make sure the blue isn't too blue, so you don't have a legal hassle from time to time.

Just keep in mind that if you want to do this, you're going to have to do extensive modifications to your headlight. This is a generic shroud that is meant to fit over a projector body. It's great for halogen to projector retrofits. But you already have a shroud in there and it's part of your housing so in order to use this, you have to cut out your existing shroud and then mold this one in.

I started a similar project a few years back and was trying to go quad projector with dummy projector lenses on the turn signals so it would look like hexa projectors. The turn signal area is very close to the headlight lens. In order to get a projector lens on there and shroud, you have to do a lot of cutting. Looking at your headlight, you'd have to cut away the entire melted section. The problem you'll run into is that would leave you pretty much nowhere to mount a lens. The shroud goes over the lens and you'd have to mold it in. But for our headlights, the plastic lens you melted is mounted to the part of the housing you melted. So without that, you'd have to find something you can glue the lens to. If it's not melted too far back, you may be able to cut away the warped part and mount the lens there.

Honestly, for the amount of work required, just get new headlights if you're trying to save money. If you want cool headlights, go for it. I eventually abandoned my project after spending 50 hours on just one side with a dremel and not being happy.
