Thinking of buying a 2012 FX35 - Just a few questions

2007 Infiniti fx35
I just recently had my 2007 FX35 written off. I decided i still want to stay in the FX family, so i am thinking about getting the 2012. Just wanted to know if the transmission issue was fixed by 2012. By that i mean hard downshift and hesitation. At least i read 2nd gens had issues like that. Is there anything else i should look out for? i did do as much reading as i could and couldn't find any other issues so in case i missed anything i thought i would ask.Thank you in advance for any help
 
Not sure I can help but responding for the sake of not leaving you totally hanging on this ghost-town forum. I have a 2010 and I don't have any transmission issues. I have never been fond of the lazy responsiveness when trying to initiate a downshift but I don't consider it considerably worse than other vehicles I've driven. A while back I looked into whether the tranny software could be updated and I recall there was an update at one point. Might take some more digging. Aside from that, I'm not aware of any serious wide-spread transmission issues or quirks.
 
Thanks for responding. I'm going to check out a couple in person today. Is 119k miles or 191k kms to much for a 2012?
 
They wanted $12 000 can or $9400 usd but it's sold. So im going to take my time to get what I want. My girl has a car and I don't go anywhere anyways cause of covid so hopefully something nice drops in my lap. Good things come to those who wait :)

I like the grill on the 2012 and higher but don't really want to spend more than $12k. I feel since I would have kept my 07 longer maybe I should settle for a 2010 or 11
