Thinking of Buying a 08 FX --- Need some help

Well the wife and I spent the afternoon driving around a few FX35's (06, '08 and 10) here in Greensboro, NC. There was an nice 09 (Mocha which I love the look of!!) up in Winston Salem but the numbers didn't work out.

We've narrowed it to the 08 which is AWD and equipped with only the hands-free and touring packages. It has 31,000 miles on it and just had all the services done. They are not offering the certified pre-owned deal on it, although I didn't ask about it yet. I loved the agressive feel of the 08 versus the newer generation.

I got them down to 29,500. They are also giving me $4,500 for my 01 Dicso II SE7 which is about 1k more then I was getting from anyone else.

How does that deal sound?? I'd like to hold off for a vehicle with the performance package and/or nav but this seems like too good to pass up.

I'm really looking forward to coming back to the infiniti community. I used to drive a '06 6MT and sold it in order for my wife to go to law school. We've since bought a 09 WRX which is great ...... but we're missing the infiniti feel.
 
People who purchase the non-tech package always seem to regret it later. Hold out for the exact FX and options you want.
 
ium currently on the same boat as you. i decided to wait it out untill i find the right fx for me. i think that is ur best bet. figure out what u really want in it and search search search untill you find one.
 
Docs right-The perfect car is out there, hold out for what you want. I purchased out of state once I found the exact combination of options and the interior/exterior colors I was looking for. Took a few months to find and a couple of inspections. Flew down to CA and did a final walk around and had it shipped up. Worked out perfectly in the end but the wait made me crazy......

We have had our FX with the tech pkg for about 6 or 7 months now & love it. But to be honest, the active speed cruise control gets turned off when I get into heavy traffic because I tend to want to stay closer to the car in front of me than the sensors will let me. (my way of telling them to pass or get the hell of out of the way). And the lane departure warning is cool but not sure if its worth the extra cost. The nav pisses me off when it wont let me spell Lowe's. But my $200.00 Garmin is great. Not sure what other options are included with the "tech" package but thats my honest opinion of these 3 features. I bet I'm not alone on this.
 
New purchase

Just pulled the trigger on our 2008 FX35 AWD. It has the same specs as the one described above but landed it for 26k in addition to 3700 on the Disco trade. Has a bit more miles (45k) but checks out fine.

We actually drove a 06 FX45 .... man what a beast!! :uhhh: As much as we loved it, we just couldn't justify the extra $$ and maintenance costs on it. If it was going to be my DD... maybe :wink:

Now we're back to moding 2 cars... oh well, isn't that what one works for anyway.

Great car and sounds like a solid price on an 08. Enjoy the ride, you won't regret it. Now start browsing IS threads on which mods best fit your needs (wants:)) and budget-good times!
 
Yes, please try to get a tech if you can but it is a great car no matter what.
