Thinking about selling my fx

Over the last almost four years I had my fx, it has been a great car that has been through a hell of a lot it got shot at, someone got murdered right In front of it and got vandalized twice by a jealous boyfriend. Sometime I think it might of preferred to say with the older couple that had it before I did.
So lately I've been thinking about whether or not to sell my fx and put the money towards my house down payment at the end of this year or early next year , really love the fx especially the my 50s and all the mods I've done so far but I'm still thinking whether to sell or not.

Sell the fx50s, buy an used 06+ fx35 and the rest of the $$$ goes towards a house.
 
Don't sell it bro, your ride is sick but I know priorities are priorities and things like a house or condo come first always IMO.

I heard soonster or Aiya are willing to let you stay at either of their places, just gotta wash their FX once a week. Lol ;)

If you take emotion and attachment out of this, it's a pretty simple calculation. Just figure out how much equity you have in the car if you sell. If you own it free and clear, that's easy, if not, then how much would you have left after paying off the note? Then figure out your total cost to own the car per month - insurance, gas, maintenance. Figure out how much your replacement car will cost you per month. See if that number is worthwhile.

Honestly, unless you're going to replace it with something really cheap, it's not going to be worthwhile to sell. If you sell and buy an '06, you'll net $15K maybe? Operating costs will be the similar. If that's the make or break number on whether you can afford the house, then sell. But otherwise, you might as well just save a little longer. If you drive your car often and really like it, just keep it. If you don't drive it much and the ownership costs are keeping you from buying a house, then it makes sense to sell.
 
op.. i say sell it and get your house if you can afford it.. at the end of the day, wouldn't you rather come home to your very own house as against a rented apartment.. i was lucky to buy my own house 6 years ago and if i have to choose between having a nice car or house, i'd take the house anytime.. it's all about priorities and your future.. a house is a nice investment, a car is not.. good luck on whatever path you choose..
