Thinking about a QX70!

Long story short, I have a kid on the way and will most likely be purchasing a qx70 or fx35 AWD.
Any reasons I should or shouldn't? ALL 2cents are welcomed!

Coming from a bagged G35 sedan.

From experience, the fx is on the small side when having kids. Trunk space isn't the best, especially when u take trips with all ur kids goodies. It's bigger than the g35, but you'll soon wish there was more space. Don't get me wrong I love my fx but we have a minivan for when we go anywhere with the kids.

Rear trunk is smaller than others but it fits a stroller just fine. The question I'd want answered is whether your rear facing child seat fits OK without making the front row passengers uncomfortable. Otherwise, I've had an FX for 6 years since my youngest was 2, and it's worked just fine. Get the tow package so you can hook up a rear luggage rack for family trips.

We are just fine with the FX and one kid. But I'm sure the extra space in the full would be appreciated.

Then again, the sporty driving experience in the FX is undeniable for a crossover.

Can't the child seat be anchored down on the center seat? This would give room for both front seats to move back.

My son grown up on an FX. We were just fine with it even took it for long drives back in the days.

...mod bug will hit you from being on here. Other than that nope! Get one and enjoy!

+1 on this. Very curious is there anchors in the back seat? I've looked at some in person but didn't look for the anchors.

Also thank you for all the advice everybody! I will most likely purchase one before the end of this month, just debating on colors and if I wanted AWD or RWD.

Speaking specifically of my 1st Gen, there are bottom Latch anchors for the Left and Right rear passenger seats. The manual states to not use the Latch System for the middle seat. Visually, it seems like you could use the two inner Latch anchors for the middle seat, but I will not go against the manual on this. Even though it looks like it would work perfectly fine, I only do as the manual states when it comes to child seats. You may use the seat belt method in the middle seat. When front facing, there is an upper tether anchor of all three rear seats.
Also, supposing someone did opt for rear facing in the middle seat, the child seat would not fit in between the two front seats, so neither front seat would be able to recline very far.
I have a rear facing on the passenger side via Latch System. When my wife rides shotgun she does not notice any issue, but anytime a dude gets in my car, the first thing they do is try to move the seat back. It is not super uncomfortable, but it is noticeable at first until you get used to it.
