The use of the spare tire.

I had a blowout last night on my right front. Put on the spare and needed to drive about thirty miles to get home. Is it safe to use the spare for one more trip about fifty mile round trip before I can deal with the problem? I have a 2004 FX35 with the 20in. wheels.

Honestly, I don't think you're supposed to go above 75 miles on it. Furthermore, it is DEFINITELY not recommended to go on the highway.. you're supposed to have a max speed of about 45-50?

Thanks for the info.. I've heard the 75 mile as a general rule which makes sense when you take a closer look at these type of spares. I think I'm going to park it until I can get to the garage next. Hope you guys get some rain down there..

What size is the spare tire in the 05 fx45?
Can you fit a 20 inch tire and rim around the BOSE subwoofer, Or do you have to modify it?

I'm positive that the spare well is also not deep enough for a full size tire since the spare tire size for both 1st and 2nd Gen is the same size.

damm sucks im about to put my wheels back on and now its like a have no spare for long trips after i installed my akebono bbk.

i wonder whats the width difference between the a spare and stock. could we not just "raise" the floor

I'm a bit confused, so hopefully you guys can clarify things for me. Now that I have the BBK, I can no longer use my spare in an emergency? Even though I have 25mm HR spacers on?
