I'm afraid the FX isn't much better.

Well.. Atleast with the FX, I know it's not gonna gun down no Porche, or handle like it's on rails. Plus it's automatic, so I am not willing to dump the money in, cause no matter what.. it's a still a crossover/suv. Why bother spending tons of money, to end up doing 12.XX second quarter miles at best!?

Don't get me wrong.. a vehicle this size and weight doing 12.XX sec. in a quarter is very impressive! But if I was to tune/built another car.. I would get something that has a little more "umph" to begin with..

Started with my parents' 88 Buick Century station wagon. The best odds I ever had in my life was when I transported 8 girls in it. Only led to anything happening between me and one of them

When my sister got her license, I got my "own" car from a family friend and it was an 84 (I think) Buick Skyhawk. What a hunk of crap. I drove it for a few months before my Mom insisted it go to the dealer to be checked out. In the 2 mile drive home from the dealer, they had looked it over and called to leave a message at home. It was "a coffin on wheels waiting to kill you"

So it was time for me to purchase my first car. My parents and I had different ideas of what a "new" car was... they were thinking used and I was thinking new.

Got the 1995 Nissan 200SX SE-R. Met people online and it slowly built itself up into a fun track car.

In 2002 I met my wife and shortly after I helped her purchase a 1993 Nissan NX2000 since I was familiar with the car/engine. She insisted on getting THAT PARTICULAR ONE and I told her it was a heap. I spent the next year every weekend working on that damned car and right when I had it up to snuff, she wanted to sell it! We were getting close to marriage and I wanted her to have something more reliable so I got her the next car...

After that, I got my wife a used 2002 Maxima SE. She got it in 2004 with just under 40k miles on it and she has since gotten the mileage up to somewhere around 187k!!! The poor car! It was in this condition for most of the summer:

Then, when we sold our condo and moved to PA, we used the money we made on the condo (would've been able to get a GTR had the market not turned south and the wife wanted a car too!) to get the FX45 and G37:

Your Nissan Maxima reminds me of my 97 Sentra, the first car I bought. that pic of your maxima is very funny.

Sediment in the gas that poured out of the "lifetime" filter. The dealer actually refused to sell me a fuel filter! He told wouldn't sell it to the wife so I called. He told me it was a non serviceable part. I called back a few days later and just asked them to order part number...

I still have to open the filter to see what I find!

That was a bit of a scary summer project. I had no time to myself but I saved thousands in labor alone!

Actually, that wasn't in my 200. That was in my friend's 98 Sentra SE turbo with 386 or something like that WHP. That car recently got the final touch... seats, harnesses, and a FULL cage. Last year we embarassed other instructors in their corvettes and an M3 on Pocono's tri-oval doing somewhere north of what the 150MPH speedo showed. That was pre-rollcage and we only did a few laps because we started feeling unsafe at those speeds in a Sentra with no protection!

This year at Pocono will be a different story but I'll be videotaping from outside the car and getting him on radar since I've already done it. Let someone else have some fun riding with him

Well, I had to ditch the Blue FX I posted up that we wanted and go with a much better deal. It was a logistics thing with the bank since the car was in Chicago, and my branch only deals with dealerships/private parties within their foot print, which is the South (Suntrust Bank).

But nonetheless we didn't give up hope and now we are apart of the FX owners club...lol.
